Primus Valuations is a leading specialty valuation company, and the dominant firm with respect to valuation technology used for fractional interests in real estate.  Our experience with business valuation, partnership syndication and real estate appraisal has led us to develop our uniquely integrated valuation approaches for the many ways real property is held by individuals, families and businesses.

Property companies have everything to do with real estate.  They include development and management businesses, asset-holding companies and partnerships, and direct ownership (common tenancy) interests.  When real property and other fixed and financial assets are integral to the purpose of the enterprise, our original and comprehensive valuation and consulting work is second to none.

The foundation for such persuasive valuations rests on our ability to integrate business valuation and real estate appraisal expertise.  Primus excels at integrating fact patterns of specific properties and local markets.  This makes it easy for users of our valuation products to understand the overall facts and conditions that must underlie a reliable and defensible opinion of value. 

Primus serves clients with business and property interests nationwide, from its offices in Los Angeles and Denver.  Our practice emphasis is on property-related businesses as well as many types of manufacturing, construction, service and other midsize companies.  Our resources include American Business Appraisers affiliate members and real estate appraisers throughout the country.  Our flexibility in engaging and working with other appraisers means that our national coverage can effectively exceed that of valuation and accounting firms that have many regional offices.


Dennis Webb

Dennis A. Webb, ASA, MAI, FRICS, is the owner of Primus Valuations, a multidisciplinary valuation firm with a practice emphasis on real property-related and other specialty business interests. Mr. Webb is an appraiser and business valuer with wide-ranging expertise in related fields. Experience with partnership syndication and real estate appraisal has led to Mr. Webb's specialization in the valuation of real estate-related holding companies and businesses. This is an interdisciplinary field that requires an integrated approach to valuation.

Mr. Webb has authored and coauthored numerous articles on holding company and fractional interest valuation, published in The Appraisal Journal, Estate Planning, the Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis and others. He teaches integrated business valuation/real estate appraisal topics for the Appraisal Institute, including a two-day seminar he authored, titled "Case Studies in Limited Partnership and Common Tenancy Valuation." He has also authored a recently published textbook titled "Valuing Undivided Interests in Real Property: Partnerships and Cotenancies." He serves as an expert witness in superior court, bankruptcy court and in arbitrations, where his writing and teaching experience provides a distinct advantage.

Prior to specializing in valuation, Mr. Webb was co-owner of a NASD broker/dealer firm, which provided real estate syndication, analysis and consulting services. He held licenses as a Registered Representative and General Securities Principal, and was also responsible for due diligence investigations. He received his B. S. degree in engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles, with a minor in economics. He worked for 15 years as a systems and design engineer.
